Description

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple (140g, peeled and cored)
  • 1 medium sweet potato (190g, peeled)
  • 1 cup (150g) self-raising flour

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apple; dice it into small pieces. Likewise, peel and dice the sweet potato.
  2. Steam the diced apple and sweet potato for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  3. Transfer to a mixing bowl and mash until smooth.
  4. Add self-raising flour to the mash and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½ cm thick.
  6. Cut shapes with cookie cutters or a knife; repeat until all dough is used.
  7. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake biscuits on a lined tray for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow cooling on a wire rack before serving.
