- 1 ½ cups bread flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yeast with warm water and a pinch of sugar; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
- In a stand mixer, mix bread flour and salt; add melted butter and foamy yeast mixture. Knead until smooth (5-8 minutes). Place in a greased bowl and cover; let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; punch down the dough and shape it into rectangles. Cover and let rise again (30 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare topping by mixing melted butter and corn syrup; whisk together sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Cut slashes in the top of each loaf; dip in butter mixture then roll in the sugar mixture before placing in loaf pans.
