  • lbs chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 (30 to 32-oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns
  • 3 (14.5 oz) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (10.5-oz) can unsalted cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion flakes
  • 3 Tbsp Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced chicken sausage for about 5 minutes to enhance its flavor. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Add frozen shredded hash browns, chicken broth, unsalted cream of chicken soup, onion flakes, Cajun seasoning, pepper, and salt into the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours until flavors meld beautifully.
  4. About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
