- ½ cup sourdough starter discard
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, warm water, sourdough discard, melted butter, sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Mix until cohesive.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10–15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook.
- Place the kneaded dough back in the bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm area for about 4 hours or until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into an 8-inch rope and tie into knots. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let proof for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush knots with melted garlic butter mixture before baking for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
